East Timor is a small country located in Southeast Asia. It is situated between Indonesia and Australia, and has a population of around 1.3 million people. East Timor is the easternmost country in Southeast Asia, and was formerly a part of Indonesia.
East Timor is a tropical country, and its landscape is mostly mountainous. The climate is tropical, with a wet season from November to April and a dry season from May to October. The official languages of East Timor are Tetum and Portuguese, although Indonesian is also widely spoken.
The economy of East Timor is largely based on agriculture, with coffee and rice being the main crops. Tourism is also an important industry, and the country is home to some beautiful beaches and scenic landscapes.
East Timor is a member of the United Nations, and is working towards becoming a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The country is also a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
