Consciousness explained to kids

Consciousness refers to the state of being aware of and able to think, feel and perceive. It is the ability to be aware of your surroundings and make decisions. It is the ability to be aware of your own thoughts and feelings and to interact with the world around you. Consciousness is thought to be produced by the brain. The brain is a complex organ that is made up of many different parts. These parts work together to produce consciousness. There is still much we do not understand about consciousness. For example, we do not know exactly how the brain produces consciousness. We also do not know why some people are more conscious than others. Some people believe that consciousness is a property of the universe and that everything in the universe is conscious. Others believe that consciousness is something that only humans have. There is no single answer to these questions. Scientists are still studying consciousness and trying to understand more about it.
