The name "Europe" is derived from the Greek goddess Europa. Europa was the beautiful daughter of the king of Phoenicia, and she was abducted by the god Zeus, who took her to the island of Crete.
Europe is home to many languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, and Russian. The currency of Europe is the euro.
