Russian language explained to kids

The Russian language is the official language of Russia and is spoken by more than 260 million people worldwide. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Russian is an East Slavic language and is closely related to other Slavic languages such as Ukrainian, Belarusian, and Polish. The Russian alphabet is made up of 33 letters and uses the Cyrillic script. The alphabet was first used in the 9th century and was adapted from the Greek alphabet. The earliest known Russian text dates back to the 10th century. Russian is a very complex and interesting language. It has many different dialects and is one of the most difficult languages to learn. However, it is a very rewarding experience to learn Russian and to be able to communicate with native speakers.
