Hindi and English are the most widely spoken languages in the region. The economy of South Asia is the world's seventh largest by nominal GDP and the third largest by purchasing power parity (PPP). The region is home to some of the world's fastest-growing economies, such as India and Bangladesh. South Asia is a very important region in the world. It is home to some of the world's most populous countries and is a nuclear-weapons state. The region is also the site of some of the world's oldest civilizations and has a rich cultural heritage.
