The climate of Cameroon varies depending on the location. The coastal areas are usually hot and humid. The mountains are cooler. The northern areas are dry. The economy of Cameroon is based on agriculture, forestry, and mining. Some of the crops that are grown in Cameroon are coffee, cocoa, and cotton. Cameroon is also a leading producer of oil. Cameroon is a republic. The president is the head of state. The president is elected by the people. The current president of Cameroon is Paul Biya.
