Hinduism explained to kids

Hinduism is the world's oldest religion, with roots that date back more than 4,000 years. Hinduism is the main religion of India and Nepal, and it has a significant presence in countries such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Fiji, and Suriname. There are an estimated 1.1 billion Hindus worldwide, making Hinduism the third-largest religion after Christianity and Islam. Hinduism is a diverse religion, with no single founder or central authority. The Hindu holy book, the Vedas, contains a vast body of scriptures, and there are many different Hindu schools of thought and practice. However, Hindus generally believe in karma (the law of cause and effect), dharma (the moral order of the universe), and reincarnation (the soul's cycle of birth, death, and rebirth). Hindus also worship a wide variety of gods and goddesses, although most Hindus believe in a supreme being known as Brahman. Hinduism has had a significant impact on other religions, such as Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Many of the concepts and practices of Hinduism, such as karma, reincarnation, and yoga, have also been adopted by Western culture.
