Genealogy of Jesus explained to kids
Jesus was a first-century Jewish man who was born in the town of Bethlehem in the Roman province of Judea. His parents were Joseph and Mary. Jesus was born around 4 BCE. Little is known about his childhood, but he grew up in Nazareth, a town in Galilee.
Jesus began his public ministry when he was about 30 years old. He traveled around, teaching people about God. He also performed miracles, such as healing the sick and raising the dead. People were amazed by what he could do and began to follow him.
Around 33 CE, Jesus was crucified by the Romans. This was a punishment reserved for criminals. After Jesus died, he rose from the dead and appeared to his followers. They believed that he was the Son of God, and they began to spread the news of his teachings.
Today, Jesus is worshipped by Christians all over the world.
