Chimpanzee explained to kids

Chimpanzees are one of the closest living relatives to humans. They are part of the family Hominidae, which includes humans, gorillas, and orangutans. Chimpanzees are found in the wild in 21 countries in Africa. The majority of chimpanzees live in forests, but some live in savannahs. Chimpanzees are very intelligent animals. They use tools, they can learn to use sign language, and they have been known to make and use simple weapons. Chimpanzees are also very social animals. They live in groups of up to 150 individuals. Chimpanzees are omnivores, which means that they eat both plants and animals. Their diet includes fruits, leaves, nuts, seeds, insects, and small mammals. Chimpanzees are an endangered species. The biggest threat to chimpanzees is habitat loss. This is caused by humans cutting down forests to make room for farms and cities. Chimpanzees are also hunted for their meat.
