Kosovo is a country located in the Balkans. The capital and largest city is Pristina. Kosovo is bordered by Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. It has a population of 1.8 million people. Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008.
Kosovo is a landlocked country. It has a continental climate. Kosovo has various mountains, such as the Sharr Mountains, the Kopaonik Mountains, and the Bjeshket e Nemuna Mountains. The country also has many rivers, such as the White Drin, the Ibar River, and the Lumbardhi River.
Kosovo has a number of different ethnic groups, including Albanians, Bosniaks, Turks, Roma, and Serbs. Albanian is the official language, but Serbian, Bosnian, and Turkish are also spoken. Islam is the most common religion.
The economy of Kosovo is based on agriculture, forestry, mining, and manufacturing. The main agricultural products are wheat, corn, potatoes, vegetables, and fruits. Kosovo also has coal, zinc, lead, and silver deposits.
