Jews explained to kids

Jews are a religious and ethnic group who are descended from the ancient Israelites. Jews have lived in different parts of the world for thousands of years and have experienced periods of both peace and persecution. Today, there are around 14 million Jews worldwide, with the largest population living in Israel. The Jewish religion is based on the belief in one God and the importance of following Jewish law. Jews also believe in the importance of doing good deeds and helping others. Jewish law, or halakha, covers many aspects of life including how to pray, what to eat, and how to celebrate holidays. Jews have experienced persecution throughout history. One of the most famous examples is the Holocaust, when Nazi Germany killed six million Jews during World War II. Today, Jews continue to face discrimination and violence in many parts of the world. Despite the challenges, Jews have made significant contributions to humanity in a wide range of fields including science, literature, and the arts.
