Fossil fuel explained to kids

Fossil fuels are a type of energy source that comes from the remains of dead plants and animals. Fossil fuels were formed over millions of years, and they are non-renewable, meaning we can't make more of them. There are three main types of fossil fuels: coal, oil, and natural gas. Coal is the most abundant fossil fuel on Earth, and it's also the cheapest to produce. Oil is a liquid fossil fuel that is used to power vehicles and make products like plastics. Natural gas is a gas fossil fuel that is used to heat homes and businesses. Fossil fuels are used to generate electricity and power our homes, businesses, and vehicles. They are also used to make products like plastics. Burning fossil fuels releases harmful gases into the atmosphere, and this contributes to climate change. We are currently using more fossil fuels than ever before, and we need to find ways to reduce our reliance on them. One way to do this is to use renewable energy sources like solar and wind power.
