Diplomacy is the art and practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of states. It usually refers to international diplomacy, the conduct of diplomatic relations between governments. International treaties are usually negotiated by diplomats prior to endorsement by the state's political leaders.
The history of diplomacy can be traced back to ancient times, when emissaries were sent on behalf of rulers to deliver messages and negotiate agreements. Diplomacy has evolved over the centuries and today it is an essential tool of statecraft, used to resolve conflicts and promote cooperation.
There are three main types of diplomacy:

-Track two diplomacy, conducted by non-governmental individuals or groups
-Public diplomacy, conducted by individuals or groups representing the general public
