Brachiosaurus explained to kids
Brachiosaurus was a large, long-necked, four-legged dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic Period, around 150 million years ago. It was one of the largest animals that ever lived, with a length of up to 85 feet and a weight of up to 80 tons!
Brachiosaurus had a long neck and a small head. Its teeth were curved and sharp, and it had a long, thick tail. Its front legs were much longer than its back legs, which meant that it could reach higher up into trees to eat leaves.
Brachiosaurus lived in what is now North America and Africa. It probably ate mostly plants, but it may have also eaten small animals.
Scientists have found many fossilized bones of Brachiosaurus, which have helped them learn about this amazing dinosaur.
