Tourism is another important industry in Saudi Arabia, and the country is home to many historical and religious sites. The government of Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy, and the current ruler is King Salman. Saudi Arabia is also a member of the United Nations, and it has been a permanent member of the UN Security Council since the organization was founded in 1945.
