The red represents the blood that was shed during the country's struggle for independence. The white represents Kuwait's purity and peace. The green represents Kuwait's fertile land. Kuwait is a constitutional monarchy. This means that the Kuwaiti king, or emir, is the head of state. However, the Kuwaiti parliament, or National Assembly, has the power to make laws. The Kuwaiti economy is very strong. This is because of the country's oil reserves. Kuwait is also home to many international companies.
