Arabic explained to kids

Arabic is the fifth most spoken language in the world with over 422 million speakers. It is the official language of 26 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Egypt. Arabic is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Arabic is a Semitic language, which means that it is related to other languages like Hebrew and Aramaic. The Arabic alphabet has 28 letters, all of which are consonants. This can make it difficult for non-native speakers to learn. There are three main dialects of Arabic: Standard Arabic, spoken in schools and the media; Colloquial Arabic, spoken in everyday life; and Classical Arabic, the language of the Quran. Arabic has been influenced by other languages over the centuries, including Persian, Turkish, and English. This has led to a rich and diverse culture, with many different Arabic dialects and traditions.
